170th of Februrary

For the art exhibition “170th of February” in Dortmund, Germany, I developed the complete visual identity, including the lead poster and the exhibition catalogue. The exhibition, held at the Künstlerhaus Dortmund, featured works by 15 Ukrainian artists, and its name poignantly marked the 170th day of the full-scale Russian invasion.

Rather than a direct representation of the conflict, my design approach was to create a subtle and poetic visual metaphor of a red snow. This central graphic element was conceived to be universal, resonating with the diverse experiences of each participating artist while unifying the exhibition’s powerful message of endurance and artistic testimony. The poster served as the public face of the event, while the catalogue —featuring a stark black cover and a minimalistic layout — provided a lasting record of the artists’ vital work.
